July's Stamp Class Projects

For July's Stamp Class we made card holders using plain old 2 pocket folders. I had stocked up on them last year during the Back to School sales!

We used 3 of my FAVORITE retiring stamp sets - SO MUCH, POLKA DOTS & PAISLEYS and UNFROGETTABLE. I'm going to miss them! If you love them and don't have them yet ORDER NOW! The last day to order is Aug 10th.

We also used retiring In-Colors - Wild Wasabi and Groovy Guava. The folders are folded in half and then part of the flap is cut off. Then we used the new Scallop Edge punch along the flap. We attached JUMBO EYELETS on each edge for the ribbon closure. I love those Jumbo Eyelets!! We used the Crop-a-dile to set them. Its amazing at how easy they are to set!



Frog Card: Wild Wasbai cardstock, Wild Wasabi Ink, Whisper White cs, Groovy Guava cardstock (scallop), Scallop and circle punches, Black Hemp Twine, Lily Pad Stampin' Around wheel, Aqua painter, Black Staz-On ink, googlie eyes!

Heart card - chipboard heart, Ultra Fine glitter applied using Heat & Stick powder, square punch, Groovy Guava cs & ink, So Much and Polka Dots & Paisleys stamp sets.

Kayley's New Interest -

Kayley has been wanting to take karate for the past year or so and we haven't been able to make it work in our schedule with soccer until this summer. AV Park & Rec had a Karate camp for 3 days, so we signed her up! She loved it! Her Sensei was Paul Walker. Turns out we were in Mommy & Me classes with them and their daughter 5 yrs ago.

Camp was a blast for her and all she talks about now is taking more karate classes.

Sensei Paul said that Kayley was very "focused" and looks forward to having her in more classes at his do-jo.

The kids did crafts (along with karate and exercising) and learned about Japanese culture. They made these hats on the last day of camp.

Decor Elements - look at my Wall!

I finally got the chance to try out the new DECOR ELEMENTS wall art from SU!

It was super easy to put up!

This is the wall in my laundry room - it's between my Stamp Studio and the bathroom that we use for crops and stamp classes. Now to find some wall space in my Stamp Studio for the others I ordered!

A Stampin' Up! Sneak Peak!!

Happy B-day to ME! My usual birthday gift to myself each year is a nice order of the SU! new catty items. This year the new catty isn't out until Aug, but Demos were allowed to pre-order certain items.
Here's a SNEAK PEAK at some of them!

** This new Designer Paper is called BELLA ROSA. I'm not normally into rosey paper, but I'm loving this paper! The new In-Colors are gorgeous - I'm thinking I'll grow to love them as much as Wild Wasabi and the other 2007-08 colors.

** Here are some of the new stamp sets and the new SCALLOP EDGE punch! We'll be using it at this month's Stamp Classes - I'm in LOVE! No more using the Slit punch or Corner rounder for Scallop Edges - YIPPEE!

**I think the Sock Monkey stamp set is my favorite and the new phrase set.

Happy Birthday to Me!!!

Boy - the last week has been busy! My sister, her DH, and 3 kids came to visit last Sat. through Wed. It was fun to have them here to help me celebrate my 37th birthday - made it less depressing! :( Kayley had a blast with her cousins - they played in her room, played "Rock Band", and had fun outside. We also spent a few hours at Mojave Narrows water play park on my b-day (14th). That night we dined at a new favorite Mexican restaurant called "La Casita". After dinner, my in-laws and sis-in-law & her girls came over for cake.

We had a fun time in AZ except for the 111 degree temps. I just can't handle it anymore! We saw "Wall-E", got to Hobby Lobby!!! and we also finally made it to Scrapbook Barn! We tried to go 3 yrs ago and got detoured with a fender bender in the parking lot. I had fun spending time shopping with my mom - we don't get to do it often enough.
