The Sun is Back!

Our sunny weather is back! The dogs were happy to walk to the bus stop again this morning with K. I had a nice morning helping out in K's kindergarten class. The kids are so much fun - I don't know how her teacher could do it without parent helpers though. 20 kids is too much for one person.

Monday Morning!

We woke up to a WET and drizzly morning again in Southern CA. We've had rain for almost a week straight. Will it ever end??? We've been hoping for snow, but only the mountains have gotten it. Guess we'll have to take a trip up to Wrightwood or Arrowhead to get our fill.
I'm off to work on my SMILES homework. We're doing workshops now - mine is "Making Kids Mind Without Losing Yours" by Dr Kevin Leman. Anyone want to borrow the book when I'm done???? :)
Happy Monday everyone!

Some New Stamp Projects and More -

I had my monthly Stamp Club Class this past weekend. We did some fun projects with the new Happy Heart Day and A Little Birdie Told Me sets. Loving these stamp sets! They are great for some many different occasions! I'm addicted to the new BALI BREEZE Designer Paper too! Check out the pictures of the projects we did and some other samples I had out. I'm planning ahead for Valentine's Day this year.
I also posted my new SU! punch holder. I just had to run down to Covina to IKEA and get some of these. They have several sizes, but I decided to go with the longest ones since they were only $2.99 each and I knew I'd fill them up. I guess I should've have gotten a few more since my punch collection still isn't complete.
K is back in school as of Monday! Chuck was home Monday and I helped out in K's class today, so not much stamping or scrapbooking going on lately.

4 more days of Winter Break

K has 3 weeks off for Winter Break. I thought we'd be looking for things to do, but it has flown by. We are down to 4 more days! I have a leadership meeting for SMILES at HDC tomorrow and then not sure what we'll do. I still have Christmas decorations to pick up and my stamp room is still a mess! It became the gift wrapping, Christmas card and gift making area and all 6 tables are covered - STILL! Some of the laundry room remodel are still hanging around too - what a mess! There are have been more important things to do though like - Sea World, Disneyland (we went yesterday!), and seeing movies at the new theater in Apple Valley. I'll post some new pics tonight although it will be hard to pick just 1 (I took almost 174 in one day!) Costco Photo loves me!

Wow - I did have a Blog!

I knew I wanted to start one, but I totally forgot I did set one up last year. Too funny that it has been a year exactly! On to a new year! Here's hoping 2008 is full of happiness.

A PAIR OF SHOES - AUTHOR UNKNOWN

I am wearing a pair of shoes.
They are ugly shoes.
Uncomfortable shoes.
I hate my shoes.
Each day I wear them, and each day I wish I had another pair.
Some days my shoes hurt so bad that I do not think I can take another step.
Yet, I continue to wear them.
I get funny looks wearing these shoes.
They are looks of sympathy.
I can tell in others eyes that they are glad they are my shoes and not theirs.
They never talk about my shoes.
To learn how awful my shoes are might make them uncomfortable.
To truly understand these shoes you must walk in them.
But, once you put them on, you can never take them off.
I now realize that I am not the only one who wears these shoes. There are many pairs in this world.
Some woman are like me and ache daily as they try and walk in them.
Some have learned how to walk in them so they don't hurt quite as much.
Some have worn the shoes so long that days will go by before they think about how much they hurt.
No woman deserves to wear these shoes.
Yet, because of these shoes I am a stronger woman.
These shoes have given me the strength to face anything.
They have made me who I am.
I will forever walk in the shoes of a woman who has lost a child.
